What We Do

A full GP service, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, chiropodist, optician, dentist, district nurses and Medway Council’s guidance in relation to safeguarding, policies and protocols support Aquarius Care Home. There is also an onsite hairdressing salon.

Social activities are organised on a daily basis such as bingo, movement to music, reminiscence, armchair exercises, puzzles, library access and seasonal activities are arranged during Christmas and Easter. We offer day centre facilities off site for those residents wishing to partake in this. The home has a substantial courtyard where gardening activities take place dependent on the season together with BBQ events in the summer. Regular residents and family meetings are held with the provider and registered manager so that opinions and views can be made openly.

All 20 of our attractive rooms, most with ensuite facilities, are fitted with flat screen televisions, divan or nursing beds with standard mattresses or nursing mattresses depending on the residents needs. Bedroom furniture which is not clinical but befitting an elderly persons bedroom environment. The rooms can be personalized to suit individual tastes so that their room becomes a home from home.

Particular attention is paid to the quality and variety of our menu at Aquarius Care Home, as we are aware of the importance of a well balanced diet in contributing to the quality of a resident’s life. We also cater for individual likes, dislikes and special diets. Visitors of residents may be invited to lunch at no extra charge. Our commitment has been rewarded with a 5 star food hygiene rating.

  5. Centrally heated rooms with television points and portable telephones for our residents. WIFI connectivity throughout the home with laptop facility for residents to connect easily with there loved ones.
  6. Respite cares welcome, long or short stay.
  7. CCTV throughout the communal area’s of the home for continued safety.
  8. All care plans and resident’s information electronically entered onto the multi care systems enabling full accountability.
